Title: Vast Is the Ocean

Note: Believe it or not, it's a love poem. XPP

I will live.
I will breathe what little air is left for me,
Soothing strokes of your breath;
Vast is the ocean.
My blood pools slowly in the dents on the mattress
Where your body has lain.
Vast is the ocean.
Body, broken and raw,
Rests on the bedding of bones
Stripped clean as they are,
Rinsed of all sins.
I shall dig my fingers into the flesh of Gods.
I shall cry for help.
They will weigh your story against mine.
They will say that you’ve won
And I shall be gone in a flash,
Consumed by the fires
That burn between your loins.
Vast is the ocean
That will embrace my ashes.
And I will live on.
